Uproot Lint LLC d/b/a Uproot Clean ("Uproot Clean," "we," and "us") does not sell personal information for money. However, the Website uses advertising, analytics, and identity resolution technologies provided by third parties, and some of those third parties use information about your visit for their own purposes, including to show you advertising and to link your browser or device to your email address or other identifiers. We also provide hashed email addresses and mobile numbers to some advertising platforms so that they can show our advertising to the people on those lists. Under California and other state privacy laws, these practices may be a "sale" of personal information, "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or "targeted advertising." You have the right to opt out. This page explains the ways you can do so and what each one does.

Option 1: Submit an Opt-Out Request

When we receive your request, we will record your opt-out in your customer record, stop including your email address and mobile number in the lists we provide to advertising platforms and identity resolution partners, and remove them from any advertising audiences we have already created. We will do this as soon as feasible and in any event within fifteen (15) business days. We will also notify any third party to which we sold or shared your personal information after you submitted your request and before we processed it, direct that third party to comply with your request, and direct it to forward your request to anyone to whom it made your personal information available during that period.

We will not ask you to create an account, and we will use the information you provide only to process your request. A request submitted this way applies to the personal information we can connect to you, such as your email address, mobile number, and order history. It does not change what the technologies on the Website collect from your browser when you visit, so we recommend that you also use the options below.

Option 2: Use the Global Privacy Control

Some browsers and browser extensions can send a Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signal to the websites you visit. Information about the GPC and the browsers and extensions that support it is available at globalprivacycontrol.org.

When your browser sends a GPC signal, our ecommerce platform, Shopify, records an opt-out of the sale of personal information for that browser. That opt-out stops the third-party technologies that run through Shopify's app pixel system and that are designated as involving the sale of data from loading on that browser. Other technologies on the Website, including advertising pixels and tags loaded through our website theme and our tag manager, do not currently respond to the GPC signal. To make sure your opt-out reaches the personal information we can connect to you, please also submit a request under Option 1.

Option 3: Use Your Browser and Device Controls

You can limit what the technologies on the Website collect from your browser by:

• Blocking third-party cookies, or all cookies, in your browser settings, and deleting cookies that have already been set;

• Using your browser's private or incognito browsing mode;

• Opting out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) and optout.networkadvertising.org (Network Advertising Initiative);

• Adjusting your advertising settings directly with the platforms you use, such as Google (myadcenter.google.com), Meta (Facebook and Instagram ad preferences), TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and X; and

• Installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

These controls apply only to the browser and device on which you set them, and you will need to set them again if you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device. Blocking cookies does not stop every technology described in our Privacy Policy, such as device fingerprinting or information that is sent from our servers to our partners, which is why we also recommend submitting a request under Option 1.

What Happens After You Opt Out

After you opt out, you may still see advertising for Uproot Clean, including advertising based on information that was sold or shared before your opt-out or on information that a platform collected on its own. You will continue to see reviews, product recommendations, and other features of the Website that do not depend on the sale or sharing of personal information. Your opt-out does not affect our service providers and contractors, which may continue to process your personal information on our behalf under our instructions, and it does not unsubscribe you from our emails or text messages. To stop marketing emails, click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, and to stop marketing text messages, reply STOP.

Sensitive Personal Information

We use sensitive personal information only to complete your transactions, secure your account, prevent fraud, and as otherwise permitted by law. Because we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any other purpose, we do not offer a separate "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" option.

Authorized Agents

You may use an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may ask the agent to provide your signed written permission to submit the request.
